Summerhillpetsupplies / ChinsRus rescue and rehoming
We run a small self funded rescue and rehoming service for chins in the West Yorkshire area . Our interest in chins began in 1997 when we bought one chin from a pet shop ( not the best place as we went on to learn)
Over the years we began to realise just how many chins there were who were neglected or whose owners simply could not look after them anymore due to various reasons . Then in 2004 we were asked to tka e19 chins that were living in terrible conditions ( which we did along with a friend Donna at chins4life) and it has continued from there . We have taken on average approx 150/200 chins a year since then
Every chin is quarantined for a minimum of 2 months when they arrive and we always ensure they are in the best possible health before we rehome . However sometimes this is not possible due to health or age and so some of the rescues do stay and live their lives out with us .
Some of the chins that are permanent residents are availabe for sponsorship for just £12 a year. You will receive ;
* A thank you card which includes their life history , what we know
* A photograph of the chin you have sponsored
* Regular news letters as to how they are getting on

Jacob is a std grey who came to us after being severely neglected . He lost a front leg which is not normally a problem but he took many months to learnt o eat again as he had also bitten off 2 toes on his remaining front paw
